    Summary:

    The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for Business Development: developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective customers, essentially call on Pharmaceutical and Biotech firms to sell service and technical consulting. This is consultative type solution sales, developing relationships with Plant, Maintenance, Facilities, and Project Engineers and Manager in pharmaceutical process plants. Finding what issues the plants are having or what product lines might be revamped.

    This is a home office-based sales position but needs to be based somewhere on West Coast preferably in CA or NV or UT given the customer base is mostly in those states. Will be responsible for developing a territory with very few established relationships with current and prospective customers. This is NOT a short-selling cycle. its technology solution and consultative type sales.

    Key is an entrepreneurial style, able to develop business plan, account management strategies - able to develop new business contacts, penetrate and engage throughout the organization. Also a very strong understanding of process plant equipment – pressure vessels, tanks, boilers, piping and control systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Proactively managing customer accounts and provides options, recommendations and solutions to existing and potential customers, constantly maintaining the customer relationship.

    • Identify and commercialize new target accounts, constantly growing and developing the business.

    • Follow up on new leads and referrals stemming from field activity and make preparations of presentations, proposals and quotations for same.

    • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and achieve on budgeted volumes. Report regularly on status of new opportunities and leads, value of accounts, account issues and how they were resolved.

    • Maintain accurate Account Files and administrate effectively within deadlines.

    • Establish and maintain materials relating to sales and knowledge of current products.

    • Maintain a current and competent level of knowledge on the product line and global capabilities, to be a reliable source of information to our customers.

    • Take part in events to market the products such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • 5+ years of strong Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and/or Biopharma experience

    • 5+ years of strong sales experience to Process Plants and/or Manufacturing Plants

    • BS Business with technical credibility, or BS Eng/Science

    • Experience with long cycle sales, and proven tactics on how to shorten

    • Excellent oral presentation and technical writing as well as solid project management skills.
