The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of comprehensive experience in general practice, encompassing trusts and estates, litigation, contracts, real estate, and business law.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a caseload of legal matters, involving tasks such as drafting and reviewing legal documents, negotiating deals, handling closings, and representing clients in court.
- Ensure efficient and effective case management, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high standard of work.
- Conduct thorough legal research to provide well-informed legal opinions to clients on a diverse range of legal issues.
- Stay abreast of legal developments and changes in laws and regulations impacting clients' interests.
- Collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal staff to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
- Foster a team-oriented approach to problem-solving and case resolution.
- Attend court hearings and depositions, preparing pleadings and motions, and overseeing legal discovery.
- Present a strong and articulate representation of clients' interests in various legal proceedings.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the areas of practice, ensuring clients' interests are safeguarded.
- Provide exceptional client service, building and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
- Communicate effectively to address client concerns and keep them informed about the progress of their legal matters.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in New York and in good standing.
- 2-3 years of experience in general practice, demonstrating proficiency in trusts and estates, litigation, contracts, real estate, and business law.
