    Summary:

    We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join an award winning team in the e-commerce industry. This role will assist with the execution of accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts payable, general ledger accounts, audit schedules, journal entries and management reports, as well as ensure SOX compliance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate a global understanding of accounting procedures from transaction to general ledger reporting.
    • Manage, record, report, accounts payable accounts for all divisions of the company
    • Approve daily AP transactions; invoices, wire transfers, ACH and EFT
    • Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate payment of company liabilities.
    • Evaluate systems, processes and procedures; document, recommend and lead implementation of changes for efficiency gains.
    • Prepare and ensure accuracy of journal entries, month-end and year-end audit schedules.
    • Ensure SOX compliance and the execution of all internal controls around the disbursement of cash including documentation, processes, and enforcement.
    • Responsible to research, analyze and resolve payment discrepancies with vendors.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • 4 year degree in Accounting
    • 2+ years of GL Accounting exp; experience with month-end close; understands the various different components of the financial statements.
    • Good systems experience and advanced Excel – Infor is the accounting system.
    • Soft skills; curious, confident, doesn’t mind researching information.
    • Works well under deadlines; has a tight close process.
    • Proven ability to build and lead an effective team.
    • Strong system and PC skills including Excel, and financial systems.
    • Solid background in International payment methods.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently in high volume, dynamic work environment.
    • Proven ability to work well as part of a team.
