Our award-winning client is seeking a Business Unit Leader to join their team. As the Business Unit Leader of services, you will report directly to the global head and play a pivotal role in steering the profitability, market development, expansion, and growth of the services business division. The primary focus includes leading the division's P&L, executing a strategic review, and formulating comprehensive business strategies for the next 3 to 10 years.
Responsibilities:
Oversee revenue and profitability, ensuring effective financial performance.
Conduct a detailed strategic review, researching and understanding current business dynamics.
Formulate short and long-term business strategies aligning with organizational goals.
Lead and develop a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.
Manage general administrative tasks related to the services business division.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned commercial and operational leader with experience in field services-oriented businesses, particularly navigating regulatory challenges.
Key Deliverables:
0 - 90 days – Learn: Immersion into the organization, building relationships, and understanding operations.
90 – 135 days – Synthesize: Analyze market size, segmentation, and competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
Ongoing 2024: Achieve incremental wins for the current year.
135 – 210 days – Build: Develop a strategic plan based on a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape.
210 – 365 days – Present, edit, and finalize: Present the strategic plan to senior leadership, incorporating feedback for approval.
365 days – Execute, Nurture, and Evolve: Initiate the execution of the strategic plan, adapt to market changes, and ensure ongoing evolution.
Required Qualifications:
12-15 years of relevant career experience.
7+ years in people leadership.
P&L management experience.
Background in field-based operations for a service-oriented business.
Industry experience dealing with regulatory obstacles.
Success in strategy development and implementation.
Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus.
