Summary:

We are seeking a strong Production Manager for one of the fastest-growing LED lighting organizations in the world. The organization has a sharp focus on R&D and innovative engineering projects, designing and creating LED downlighting that sets the bar for simplicity, flexibility, and quality.

Responsibilities:

The Production Manager organizes and oversees the Assembly Department. The Production Manager is ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. The candidate has deep know-how in production procedures and the ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance, as well as decision-making and problem-solving skills. Duties include:

• Perform production planning and strategic planning in a fast-paced environment
• Streamline existing and establish workflow processes
• Assess project and resource requirements (workforce, material, etc.)
• Estimate costs and prepare budgets
• Ensure that OSHA health and safety regulations are met
• Ensure output meets quality standards
• Monitor production to resolve issues
• Select, order and purchase tools and equipment, as well as BOM materials for assembly
• Schedule routine maintenance and repair of production equipment
• Liaise between multiple departments to ensure order fulfillment
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel
• Schedule relevant training sessions
• Report to upper management
• Coordinate with Shipping Manager to ensure management is available on a daily basis to open the door for team members and manage departments (e.g., vacation)
• Interview, hire/fireteam members

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of proven experience as production supervisor
• In-depth knowledge of production management
• Understanding of quality standards and OSHA health & safety regulations
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
• Experience in reporting key production metrics
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
• Outstanding communication ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Team player attitude and philosophy
• Attention to detail
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
• An engineering degree is required
