    Overview

Our client is a complex multi-generational family office. The organization supports a wide range of personal and business activities. The Family Office is an entrepreneurial, group of professionals providing investment, accounting, tax, philanthropic and strategic planning services to high net worth families.

The Tax Director is a critical member of the finance and accounting team. The level of support and guidance needed is similar to the approach of a high quality small or regional public accounting firm rather than a large specialized services firm. The team provides comprehensive, multi-generational tax planning, compliance, and management services for income, gift/estate, and sales tax issues for individuals, trusts, investment partnerships, nonprofits, and operating companies. This intimately-sized organization maintains an exceptional personal service focus while delivering outstanding technical expertise through its world-class team of professionals. The work of the group is supported by long-term engagements with world-class law and accounting firms.

Since this position is somewhat seasonal based on the tax compliance calendar, with more hours required March through October, and fewer hours required November through February, the organization is capable of and willing to support a remote working environment with some time in the office ideally to allow for interaction with the team (in a “post-Covid” environment).
