    Summary:

    Leading global OEM Manufacturer of Engineered Access Hardware with manufacturing and engineering facilities in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific regions looking to add a Territory Sales Engineer to the team. The organization provides customers throughout the world in the Networking, Telecommunications, Computer, Automotive, Aerospace, Mass Transit, Off-Highway/Construction, RV/Caravan, Industrial Machinery, and HVAC industries.

    The hired candidate is inheriting the Northeast (NY, MA, CT) Territory that has a lot of stong accounts currently, however there is a need to also hunt and grow new relationships into new accounts.

    This role will develop new business across the territory, build trusting and strong relationships with the customers, and ensure the organization is a valued partner to assist in the growth of their businesses.

    Responsibilities:

    This role will work primarily with other OEMs and Tier 1 accounts, less of an emphasis of distributors and resellers.

    This individual sells into Design Engineers, Purchasing, Engineering Managers, and others as appropriate, at the customer location to ensure that we offer relevant design solutions that support the customer's growth and future product development. The Territory Salespersons is the liaison with the client and represents the client's needs with internal departments such as Customer Service, Design Engineers, Production, Operations and Supply Chain.

    • Develop new relationships with key contacts including senior level individuals, identify and target new business opportunities and document all pertinent activity in Salesforce.com (SFDC).

    • Meet or exceed established market share and sales revenue performance targets

    • Develop and implement an annual strategic business plan in accordance with management’s goals and objectives

    • Use the CRM daily to plan, document and execute pertinent business activities (i.e., meetings, telephone conversations, quotes, sample requests, etc.) Use SFDC Opportunity manager to characterize and communicate key account opportunities and prepare periodic forecast updates. At a minimum, all existing and high and medium probability business opportunities must be captured and detailed. Enter and keep updated a minimum of 80% of Key Account business in SFDC opportunity manager (Goal package = 80%)

    • Communicate marketplace activity to Product and Industry management personnel. Identify “value enablers” for all designated Key Accounts and prepare proposals as required.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • 3 - 14 years of Territory Sales experience

    • OEM and Tier 1 manufacturing sales experience

    • Strong sales hunting experience

    • Experience selling to Engineers and Design teams

    • Technical sales experience

    • Excellent sales ability, communication, presentation and listening skills

    • Strong skills in relationship building, collaboration and teamwork required

    • Ability to work independently and demonstrate high level of initiative

    • Bachelor's degree or higher
