We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with a background in either LED lighting or high volume consumer electronics for one of the fastest-growing LED lighting organizations in the world. Responsibilities:

• Involved in all phases of the product life cycle of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
• Design new complex analog and digital circuits.
• Work with suppliers/vendors to select component, get circuit boards built, tested and qualified.
• Power supply design for lighting or consumer applications.
• Responsible for multiple facets of the electrical product development process from ideation to detail design, analysis, verification and interfacing with contract manufacturers to drive the product to production.
• Be a contributor to the dynamic engineering team who have doubled the portfolio of the company in the past two years.
• This position will also work on improvements to existing products, and on custom or special solutions for clients when warranted.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in product development and design in LED lighting or high volume consumer electronics.
• Experience with high-efficiency, high-power factor Power Supply design.
• Understanding of analog and digital circuits and hardware.
• Knowledgeable in high volume manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of certification standards.
• Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners.
• Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner (written and oral).
• Experience designing electrical products from conception to production.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively independently and in a team.
• Experience developing electronic products including analog and power supply designs.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members in remote locations.
• Global supply chain experience preferred.
• BS - Electrical Engineering preferred.
