    Summary:

    An immediate opening for a candidate with food industry experience as a Warehouse Director.

    This is a growing food distribution company with an 80+ year history and is the product of the merger of two well-run family-owned businesses. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a:

    Responsibilities:

    This person will bring process efficiencies and oversee the day-to-day functions of shipping, inbound receiving, order-pulling & packing, and stocking of product. The individual will also coordinate staffing needs and troubleshoot procedural operations.

    • Prepares weekly work schedules for each department in warehouse
    • Reviews inventory daily; responsible for controlling product shrink
    • Monitors the outflow of product daily via sales - communicates with purchasing regarding under/overstock
    • Enforces standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety rules
    • Prepares timely performance evaluations of personnel in the warehouse
    • Performs all job functions of the warehouse and assists when short staffed
    • Continuously reviews standard operating procedures, adding new procedures and creating better efficiency by altering current procedures upon the approval of the General Manager

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • A minimum 4-year degree, preferably a business-related field
    • A minimum of 4 years food warehouse experience at a supervisory/management level
    • Strong process improvement and cost-saving accomplishments
    • A customer service focused individual with a mindset for quality control and safety
    • Detail-oriented with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Ability to adapt and function in a demanding, fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
    • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
    • Data-driven decision maker with the ability to gather, assemble, consolidate, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, and devise solutions
    • Ability to solve problems independently, articulate information effectively and work with all levels of the organization
