Summary:
Our award-winning client is currently hiring for a Director! You will be a business builder responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing clinically focused transactions and strategic partnerships to expand our client's portfolio of innovative clinical testing solutions for patients, clinicians, and biopharma partners. You will support the development of cell therapies by strategic partnerships that would drive better patient outcomes and improve the commercial potential of the treatments.
The Director, Partnership Sales will work closely with our client’s executive leadership as well as partners and external key opinion leaders to drive innovative solutions for organ transplant and cell therapy patients.
The ideal candidate has experience in biopharma business development and has a strong track record of sourcing, proposing, and executing transactions across the therapeutic landscape.
Responsibilities:
Source and lead research and clinically focused transactions with pharmaceutical biotech companies and academic institutions
Help develop product expansion strategy, supporting business case development, term sheet negotiation, due diligence, and execution
Secure early-stage strategic partnerships, paving way for scaled-up transactions and transition to the commercial organization
Actively partner with business functions including Commercial, R&D, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, and Finance ensure a thorough evaluation of potential opportunities
Required Skills and Experience:
Passion for improving patient outcomes
An outstanding communicator with great business instincts who can help chart the course and translate R&D innovation into actionable, value-creating partnership
Ph.D. or other preferably a graduate degree in biological sciences. MBA is a plus
Track record of relevant “sell-side” transactions execution
Experience in sales or business development function in a biopharmaceutical or molecular diagnostics company for at least 5 years
Technical understanding of therapeutic and diagnostics development pathways
Knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, NGS is helpful
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to make sound business judgments
An ability to embrace teamwork and collaboration
Outstanding presentation and communication skills
Energetic, resourceful self-starter with high integrity, strong executive presence, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
