    Summary:

    Our award-winning client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong customer relations and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include a comprehensive understanding of customer expectations and the coordination of internal efforts to consistently meet these expectations. The role offers the prospect of growth into various areas of the company, ultimately leading towards Quality Management.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Interface with customers on quality issues related to assigned responsibilities.

    • Maintain control plans, PFMEAs, inspection and gage instructions, and other quality plan documentation.

    • Lead problem-solving activities for internal and external concerns within your scope.

    • Establish data collection systems for process, product, and customer feedback.

    • Take proactive measures to prevent nonconformance in product, process, and quality systems.

    • Identify, record, and provide solutions for problems related to the product, process, or quality system.

    • Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming products until deficiencies are corrected.

    • Conduct periodic internal and/or external audits in compliance with ISO 9001:2000/TS16949 requirements.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum of a 4-year degree or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment, with a specific focus on automotive manufacturing.

    • At least one (1) year experience in a supplier and customer-related quality engineering role.

    • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new products in the automotive industry.

    • Basic knowledge of AIAG or related quality systems.

    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects concurrently.

    • Knowledge of IATF/16949; Basic Corrective Action skills, including 8D, 5Y, Fishbone, etc.

    • Availability for approximately 25% of travel, including international when necessary.
