    Summary:

    Our award winning client is currently hiring for an Account Manager for a top tier boarding school. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and is responsible for maintaining financial, accounting, administrative and personnel services for the School.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner
    • Maintain documented system of accounting policies and procedures
    • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
    • Prepare monthly financial statements
    • Ensure complete and accurate records of all charges and payments
    • Execute all student accounting processes including billings, payment plans, finance charges, electronic payments, and accuracy of the student account database
    • Ensure all invoices and outstanding receivables are collected in a timely manner
    • Coordinate enrollment process with Directors of Admissions and Technology and process daily and historical reporting
    • Oversight and administration of employee benefits including but not limited to healthcare brokerage relationship, benefits enrollment, and problem resolution
    • Ensure all new employees are properly documented
    • Ensure employee files are established and maintained
    • Coordinate benefits entitlements with Accounts Payable Manager including maintenance of time and attendance records
    • Provide all employees with access to the SKS handbook and annually collect the acknowledgement receipt from all faculty and staff
    • Distribute and collect signed on-campus residence agreements and proof of insurance
    • Handle all accident/ compensation claims

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
    • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a strong attention to detail
    • Tech savvy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word; Experience using Blackbaud Financial Edge and Smart Tuition, or other integrated business accounting platform
    • Proficient knowledge in generally-accepted accounting principles, fund accounting, preparation of financial statements, and reporting
    • Commitment to excellence and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
    • Demonstrate experience in organizing, conceptualizing, and prioritizing objectives, and managing a high-volume workflow office with interruptions
    • Adaptability in dealing with change, delays, or unexpected events to ensure the general welfare of the School
    • Experience in non-profit accounting is a plus
