SUMMARY:

We are seeking a strong Senior Software Engineer who can drive technical growth through design and implementation of distributed, high-availability systems. Candidates for this role demonstrate excellent technical acumen and can propose solutions to overcome technical challenges.

This role is with an award winning (for culture and growth) marketing technology organization. This role will be highly influential on the Engineering team, as well as the data team as this a very much a data driven product.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interface with engineers, business stakeholders and analysts to inform decisions about product design and implementation
• Develop and maintain real-time, high-availability distributed systems
• Work with data team to launch new models into production infrastructure
• Support existing processes running in production
• Offer technical solutions to challenges encountered by the engineering team

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• At least 5 years of production experience
• Proficiency in Golang
• Strong algorithm design skills
• Profiling and code optimization skills
• Distributed Systems theory (replication, consistency levels, sharding)
• Knowledge of distributed database technologies
• AWS (EC2, ELB/ALB, Auto-scaling, S3)
• Experience implementing machine learning models in scaled, production environments
• Exceptional debugging skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Basic understanding of display/mobile advertising tech
• Experience with developing in containerized infrastructure (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Experience building low-latency systems
• Familiarity with less common AWS services (Redshift, Lambda)
• Experience with pub-sub systems like Kafka and Kinesis
• JavaScript / Typescript
• Familiarity with various AWS pricing models
