Summary:
Our award winning client is currently seeking an experienced Accountant who can multitask and be a contributor to a growing organization. Great opportunity to expand skill set beyond accounting and finance and into other administrative functions. This role will be involved in a variety of functions including but not limited to, general ledger accounting and reconciliations, month-end close, accounts payable, financial reporting, budgeting, audit and ad hoc projects.
We are seeking a motivated team-oriented individual who possesses solid corporate accounting experience and superb interpersonal skills. This individual will interact with our clients’ London, Jersey and Geneva offices regularly. Sun system experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Complete month end close process, including preparing journal entries, supporting work papers and monthly account reconciliations and roll forwards
- Prepare quarterly shared cost allocations and generate invoices
- Prepare monthly financial statement package for review
- Submit numbers to European offices in a timely manner to meet all deadlines
- Update monthly cash forecasting files
- Assist with the accounts payable process
- Manage annual 1099 reporting
- Manage the expense reporting and monthly SVB corporate credit card reconciliation process to ensure compliance with company policy and IRS regulations
- Assist with year-end audit process
- Assist with tax compliance
- Assist in annual budgeting process
Required Skills and Experience:
- Public accounting OR a staff accountant experience with a CPA in private industry or a Senior Accountant that has progressed to this level in private industry
- 2 - 5 years of total accounting experience (5 years max)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Public accounting experience/CPA is a big plus
- Detail oriented and excellent communication skills
- Strong people skills; must be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of personalities
