    Proxy Equipment is seeking a motivated and driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team as a key member of our sales force, you will play a vital role in promoting our cutting-edge equipment remarketing and sales solutions to equipment owners and business owners that use heavy equipment. This is an independent sales contractor position and provides a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work remotely throughout your designated territory.

    This full-time, commission-based (unlimited and uncapped) contract role reports to the Sales Manager or Company Owner through phone calls, video conferences, text messages, emails, and in-field meetings. Working with a broad range of primarily used construction and industrial equipment, selling our remarketing solutions, you will collaborate with companies in various equipment-related industries, including finance, rental, construction, transportation, utilities, government, etc.

    Responsibilities:

    • Generate leads and identify potential customers through various channels, including door-to-door, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
    • Travel to sellers’ location to collect pictures, video, and equipment descriptions to be uploaded on Proxy Equipment’s sales remarketing platform.
    • Develop and maintain good relationships with our buyers and sellers.
    • Respond to incoming leads with a diverse client base to sell your sellers equipment or cross sell company inventory to generate sales.
    • Identify and solicit equipment to sell by end equipment owners.
    • Negotiate with sellers to establish competitive pricing that will stimulate sales and increase your commissions.
    • Negotiate with buyers to maximize profit margins which increase your commissions.
    • In-person consultations & presentations of our services.
    • Developing relationships & following-up with prospects.
    • This position is focused on new business rather than up selling or maintaining current accounts.
    • A willingness to follow our sales system to maximize all leads to increase sales conversions.
    • Have excellent phone and email communication skills.
    • Ability to present our programs in a natural presentation vs. a “canned” script for all people communicate differently and the best presentation is a great conversation.
    • Must be persistent, energetic, and entrepreneurial.
    • Good grasp of computer skills and the internet.

    Background and Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, including outside/field sales.
    • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Previous experience of preparing professional sales presentations and quotes for customers
    • Valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.
    • Proficiency in basic computer skills and applications including MS Office Suite, smartphones, and tablets.
    • Working computer with working internet service.
    • Background in the areas which would be helpful but not required include: new and used equipment sales, equipment rental, business valuation and appraisal consulting, equipment auctions, etc.
    • Cold-calling and job site calls are required.
    • Valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.
