Established in 1929, Prudent Publishing Co. is the leading mail order publisher of premium quality personalized greeting cards in the U.S. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Plant Human Resources Team in our manufacturing facility in Landing, NJ. We are conveniently located near Routes 80, 46, 206 and 10. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and functions within a larger Human Resources Department headquartered in Ridgefield Park, NJ
The Human Resources Representative will be a strategic partner to Plant Management and will provide support to leaders and employees, while supporting and executing company goals and policies.
SHIFT VARIES BY SEASON:
From January through July this position will work Monday - Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Required to have availability to work remotely on Fridays.
From August through December this position will work Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Will be required to work Saturday or Sunday during the busier months of October, November and December.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Full cycle recruiting abilities, including job fairs, advertising, screenings, interviews, and selecting new hire candidates
- HR support to both employees and leaders
- Prepare for and conduct new-hire onboarding
- Support training and development programs
- Assist employees by listening to issues and concerns, and making recommendations for resolutions to management
- Assist in wellness programs
- Assist with benefits programs, including annual open enrollment, and participate in benefit education
- Work closely with ADP Workforce Management and Payroll system on issues of attendance, employee scheduling, leave of absence, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a Generalist Role with an emphasis on recruiting
- Must be bilingual - Spanish
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Excellent and proven computer skills including Microsoft Office Products and HRIS systems, computer keyboard & computer screen
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Proven ability to successfully provide relevant and immediate feedback in a fast-paced and complex environment
- Ability to alternate sitting and standing throughout an 8 hour period, and sometimes longer
- Ability to use a telephone headset and telephone system
- Ability to deal effectively with staff, applicants for employment, and the public; establish and maintain positive working relationships
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, use of discretion; work independently
- Ability to travel to Human Resources Department headquarter in Ridgefield Park, NJ
