Job Description

 Our client is looking for qualified candidates to join their team as a Project Engineer in their Project Controls & System Analysis Department. This is a 6 month contract assignment. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong Technical Background in hardware, software, processes, training, documentation
• Computer-Aided Dispatch / Automatic Vehicle Location experience (CAD/AVL) is a plus
• Experience with technical integration, specifically how an organization’s sub-systems, databases, interfaces, data flow and technology work together
• Experience with upgrading technology within a public or governmental organization (and the appropriate steps on how to appropriately do this)
• Ability to evaluate and recommend professional consulting services for the organization’s most complex and/or highest expenditure projects.
• Ability to Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) Request for Qualifications (RFQs); and Invitation For Bids (IFBs); participates in the negotiation, preparation, and administration of professional services architectural/engineering services and construction contracts; and recommends and prepares amendments to professional services contracts.
• Ability to Exercise technical and functional supervision over professional, technical, and clerical staff, which may include subordinate Project Managers, as well as outside consultants and contractors.
• Supervises, and participates in the formation, planning, review, and management of assigned projects. Assigns, supervises, trains, and reviews the work of project management staff, contractors, and consultants.
• Participates in the establishment and implementation of project goals and objectives, and establishes and maintains adherence to project administration techniques, policies and procedures.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
