About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a dedicated weekend contract role (Friday through Saturday or Friday through Sunday). In this position, you will deliver high-quality psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and clinical oversight to an outpatient population. This position is ideal for an autonomous clinician looking for a structured weekend schedule within a supportive behavioral health setting.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and risk reviews.

Formulate and execute evidence-based psychopharmacological treatment plans.

Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment efficacy and outcomes.

Maintain prompt, thorough, and compliant clinical documentation in the EMR.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to coordinate multidisciplinary care pathways.

Qualifications & Requirements

Active, unencumbered Connecticut APRN license with PMHNP board certification (PMHNP-BC).

Valid CT Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) and DEA license.

Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP in an outpatient behavioral health setting.

Strong diagnostic acumen, prescriptive practice skills, and independent clinical decision-making.

Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications (OPTIONAL)

Experience or clinical interest in interventional psychiatric modalities (e.g., Spravato®/esketamine protocols or TMS).
