    Job Description

    We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing team. This position offers flexible work options—on-site, remote, or hybrid. You will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy to patients in a collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and mental status exams.

    Diagnose and treat mental health conditions per DSM-5 criteria.

    Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and medication plans.

    Provide supportive therapy and counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and related disorders.

    Educate and counsel patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care.

    Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.

    Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EHR.

    Manage psychiatric emergencies and safety planning as needed.

    Participate in professional development and continuing education.

    Skills & Qualifications

    Master’s (MSN) or Doctorate (DNP/PhD) in Nursing with Psychiatric/Mental Health focus.

    Unrestricted Florida APRN license and ANCC certification in Psychiatry.

    DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.

    AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Knowledge of psychiatric medications and therapeutic interventions.

    Proficient in EHR systems.

    Excellent communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills.

    Professional, compassionate, and adaptable demeanor.

    Experience with addiction treatments preferred.

    Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
