    As a Contract Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management services while working alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.

    What You'll Do

    As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will serve as a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team.

    You will:

    • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments

    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each consumer's unique needs

    • Prescribe and manage medications for mental and behavioral health conditions

    • Monitor treatment response and adjust interventions as appropriate

    • Support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, behavioral challenges, mood disorders, and other behavioral health conditions

    • Collaborate with therapists, care coordinators, psychiatrists, and other providers to support positive treatment outcomes

    • Provide education and consultation to consumers, families, and clinical staff regarding treatment recommendations and medication management

    • Participate in clinical consultation and multidisciplinary treatment planning

    • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation

    • Provide psychotherapy services if desired and clinically appropriat

    Required Qualifications

    • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the District of Columbia

    • Active APRN License with Prescriptive Authority

    • Active DEA Registration

    • Active Controlled Substance Registration, if required

    • Professional Liability (Malpractice) Insurance

    • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills

    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with children and adolescents

    • Experience working with adult behavioral health populations

    • Experience in outpatient, community-based, or behavioral health settings

    • Experience collaborating with primary care providers and multidisciplinary treatment teams

    • Experience serving diverse and underserved populations
