We are expanding our service offerings to include neurofeedback therapy as a complementary intervention to support individuals with complex behavioral health needs.

    We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a strong clinical foundation and an interest in advancing innovative, evidence-based interventions to join our expanding program.

     

    About the Position

    The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Neurofeedback Provider is responsible for conducting neurofeedback sessions, performing clinical assessments, managing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary team members. This role blends traditional psychiatric practice with neurofeedback-based therapeutic interventions to support patients with behavioral, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

    The ideal candidate is patient-focused, clinically thorough, and comfortable working in a structured yet evolving program environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Care & Neurofeedback Delivery

    • Conduct neurofeedback training sessions using approved equipment, protocols, and evidence-based practices.
    • Assess patient readiness, tolerance, and response to neurofeedback interventions and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
    • Perform initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management, when indicated and within scope.
    • Interpret neurofeedback session data and patient progress to inform treatment decisions.
    • Provide patient education on neurofeedback methodology, expectations, and care plans.

    Collaboration & Coordination

    • Partner with therapists, psychiatrists, and care teams to support integrated treatment planning.
    • Communicate progress updates, clinical concerns, and treatment recommendations to the care team and leadership as appropriate.
    • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and program development initiatives.

    Documentation & Compliance

    • Complete all documentation timely and accurately, including session notes, treatment plans, progress summaries, and required reports.
    • Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and organizational policies, including HIPAA, state practice regulations, and BHS standards of care.
    • Ensure equipment usage, safety protocols, and environmental standards meet program and regulatory requirements.

    Program Development & Quality

    • Support the refinement and growth of the neurofeedback program, including identifying opportunities for process improvement and protocol enhancement.
    • Participate in training, continuing education, and quality initiatives related to neurofeedback and psychiatric care.

     

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Active and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in the state of practice.
    • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
    • Experience providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
    • Strong clinical documentation skills and comfort with electronic health record systems.
    • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with care teams.

    Preferred

    • Prior training or experience with neurofeedback, biofeedback, or related modalities.
    • Experience working in behavioral health, long-term care, outpatient clinics, or neurocognitive treatment programs.
    • Familiarity with QEEG, brain mapping, or functional neurotherapeutic interventions.
