Position Overview
Pathways to Wellness is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to support our clinical team in Clarksville, TN. We do have a physical location in Clarksville. This virtual position supports telehealth sessions to support clients across Tennessee, and in-person sessions are also available with the practice having two physical locations – Clarksville and Cordova.
The ideal candidate is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes, comfortable with virtual service delivery, and skilled in providing trauma-informed, patient-centered psychiatric care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management
- Provide clinical services virtual to support the Clarksville practice location
- Deliver telehealth appointments using our secure virtual platform, Tebra
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, case managers, and support staff
- Maintain accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant documentation
- Follow state and federal practice guidelines, including controlled substance regulations
- Participate in clinical meetings and case reviews as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee APRN license -required
- Board Certified PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) – required
- Active, unrestricted DEA license – required
- One (1) year minimum post-license experience as a PMHNP
- Continuing Education Credits to meet regulatory and licensure requirements
- Experience conducting psychiatric assessments and medication management
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Experience with behavioral health CPT and ICD10 codes
- Proficient in medical documentation compliant with health plans, federal and state requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient mental health or integrated care settings
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
