    Position Summary

    We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide high-quality psychiatric care through hospital rounding and home health or facility-based visits. This role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and coordination of care for patients with mental health conditions across inpatient and community-based settings.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits in hospital, home health, and facility-based settings (e.g., SNFs, assisted living, group homes)

    Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions

    Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with state and federal regulations

    Collaborate with supervising psychiatrists, primary care providers, nurses, therapists, and care teams

    Perform hospital rounding and coordinate transitions of care

    Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)

    Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications

    Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case conferences as needed

    Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards

    Qualifications

    Active, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state of practice

    Board certification as a Psychiatric PA or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

    DEA license and prescriptive authority (or eligibility)

    Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health settings preferred

    Comfortable working independently in hospital and community-based environments

    Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills

    Work Environment

    Combination of hospital rounding and home health/facility-based visits

    Flexible scheduling may be available
