    Position Overview

    CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide mental health services at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric disorders in an incarcerated population, managing psychotropic medications and leading the behavioral health team under BOP mental health standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management
    • Manage psychotropic medication regimens including antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, antidepressants, and anxiolytics
    • Perform psychiatric emergency assessments including suicide risk evaluations and crisis intervention
    • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and develop individualized treatment plans
    • Conduct competency evaluations and forensic psychiatric consultation as needed
    • Manage dual-diagnosis patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
    • Supervise mid-level providers prescribing psychotropic medications
    • Maintain clinical documentation per BOP standards

    Required Qualifications

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
    • Board certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
    • Active, unrestricted Wisconsin medical license (or ability to obtain)
    • Active DEA registration
    • Current BLS certification
    • U.S. citizenship required
    • Ability to pass federal background investigation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Forensic psychiatry fellowship or correctional mental health experience
    • Experience with medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder
    • Familiarity with BOP Psychology Services policies

    Compensation and Benefits
