Job Summary We are seeking a professional and caring Psychiatrist to join our team! In this role, you will conduct psychological exams and testing, diagnose and treat psychological disorders, and assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, crisis management, and medical documentation. This role involves working in a clinical setting, providing comprehensive mental health services to patients, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. The Psychiatrist will also have the opportunity to engage in telehealth services, ensuring accessible care for all patients.
Responsibilities
Identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral concerns and provide diagnoses
Create individualized treatment plans for each client
Prescribe psychotherapeutic medication and adjust prescription according to patient’s response
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan, including all medication information
Consult with primary care physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care is provided
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest professional developments and research
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients, including those in geriatrics.
Offer telehealth consultations as needed to expand access to mental health services.
Qualifications
Current medical license and certification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS)
Deep knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods
Ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
Excellent observational and assessment skills
Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Psychiatry.
Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in the relevant state.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and psychiatric disorders.
Experience in crisis management and patient assessment is essential.
Familiarity with geriatric psychiatry is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in telehealth platforms and technologies is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
