Position Overview

The Locums Company, LLC (TLC) is seeking a qualified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services for Lansingburgh Central School District in Troy, New York.

This part-time opportunity is ideal for a psychiatrist interested in supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of children and adolescents in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents, as needed.

• Evaluate behavioral and mental health concerns and provide clinical recommendations.

• Develop appropriate treatment recommendations and follow-up plans.

• Provide medication management when applicable to the assignment.

• Review relevant clinical records and maintain accurate documentation.

• Collaborate with school personnel and other healthcare professionals to support student wellness.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable professional standards and New York State regulations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

• Active, unrestricted New York medical license.

• Current DEA registration, if required for the services provided.

• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.

• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a school-based environment.

Compensation & Contract Details

• Pay Rate: $140 per hour.

• Contract Type: 1099 independent contractor.

• Schedule: One day per week, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM.

• Hours: 6.5 hours per week.

• Location: Lansingburgh Central School District, Troy, NY.
