Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for residents, addressing mental health and behavioral needs.

Qualifications:

• Education/License: Active NYS license appropriate to role (MD, DO, NP, PA, RN).
• Certification: Board certification in Psychiatry for physicians; relevant certification for APPs.
• Experience: Geriatric psychiatry or SNF settings (preferred)
• Technical Skills: Document all encounters in EMR per facility standards.
• Soft Skills: Crisis de-escalation, interdisciplinary collaboration, empathy

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications as appropriate.
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic resident care.
• Participate in care planning meetings and family conferences.
