Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health issues and be skilled in providing therapeutic support to individuals facing various challenges. This practice serves individuals through private pay as well as insurance; some therapists accept couples and/or youth as clients at their discretion.

    Embrace Psychotherapy supports therapists in earning their hours towards their LCSW or LMHC. We will provide you with a caseload of clients and you can also bring your own. Seeking an ambitious psychotherapist to become a part of a growing private practice that serves the NY metropolitan area and Long Island.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals.

    Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough assessments of clients' mental health status.

    Utilize crisis management techniques to support clients in distressing situations.

    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for clients, including social workers and medical professionals.

    Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA standards.

    This is a holistic practice, and the clinician should be committed to promoting wellness and a healthy lifestyle.

    Experience

    Use of / education in CBT and DBT practices, as well as knowledge of motivational interviewing and human development therapies.

    Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting is highly desirable.

    Spanish Language proficiency highly desirable.

    Proficiency through experience or training in medical documentation practices.

    A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required.

    LCSW or LMHC; LMSW or MHC-LP (limited permit, pursuing licensure).
