POSITION SUMMARY
This entry-level position is primarily responsible for providing hands-on technical support for Ptolemy’s business customers at the customer locations and using remote support software. Repair and maintenance of computer and network hardware will be required. This position is a work from home position. Successful candidate will be required to travel for training and service work in the field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide help-desk technical support using remote management software. Technical support includes troubleshooting issues related to software, workstations, laptops, printers, servers and other supported equipment.
Provide IT support at clients sites as needed. Travel throughout Colorado will be required for this position. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Provide IT support for including onboarding of new clients, IT projects and day to day trouble-shooting as needed.
Assist with troubleshooting other client technologies as needed.
Work in support of various projects as assigned by supervisor.
Work and collaborate with team members to maximize efficiencies.
Travel will be required for this position from time to time. A company car is provided for travel to client sites as needed.
Some after-hours support may be required. Rotating on-call duties will apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Knowledge and experience maintaining desktop and laptop systems
· Computer/Server level certifications and/or extensive experience preferred.
· Experience and/or training working with servers and network security devices preferred.
· Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, various software programs and telephone systems
· Skill in oral and written communication
· Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
· Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
· Ability to pay close attention to detail
· Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High school diploma and one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: AA or BS in Computer Science or related field.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The general work hours for this position are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Occasional after-hours will be required to complete work for a client. Rotating on-call for after-hours support will be required.
SALARY
Starting range for this position is dependent on experience. Employees will receive an annual review and with successful performance are eligible for adjustments to salary at that time.
