About Us: Summit Public Adjusters is a fast-growing public adjusting firm based in Long Island, NY. We advocate for policyholders during the insurance claim process to ensure they receive the full compensation they are entitled to. We’re seeking a knowledgeable, motivated, and professional Public Adjuster to join our team and handle property claims from inspection through settlement.
Responsibilities: • Conduct on-site property inspections and assess damages for residential and commercial losses (fire, water, wind, etc.) • Interpret and analyze insurance policies and coverage • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for claims • Negotiate settlements with insurance company adjusters • Maintain consistent communication with clients, contractors, and insurers throughout the claim process • Ensure client satisfaction and represent the company with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications: • Licensed Public Adjuster in New York (required) • Minimum 1–2 years experience handling property claims • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction and restoration practices • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims • Familiarity with Xactimate is a plus • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
