    Samyak Solutions Inc. is recruiting for a Public Health Analyst to work at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) DRSC program in Chamblee, GA.

    This is full time position, Monday to Friday: 8am - 5pm in office with some hybrid work possible.

    Detailed Job Description as follows:

    Contractor shall provide analytical, technical, and programmatic support services across

    DRSC. Public health activities that support regulatory science and compliance projects and

    activities. The contractor shall perform various levels of the following tasks:

    Key regulatory functions and activities of the program include:

    • Develops, implements, and enforces the select agent regulations to help ensure this

    research is conducted in a safe and secure manner.

    • Provides oversight of possession to ensure that the U.S. government has full awareness

    of entities in lawful possession of these potentially dangerous biological agents and

    toxins.

    • Conducts inspections and approves registrations in order to make sure that appropriate

    measures are in place at each registered entity to prevent the unauthorized access, theft,

    loss, or release of select agents and toxins.

    • Approves individual access to select agents and toxins to help guard against access by

    bioterrorists or any others who may wish to misuse the agents. All individuals who

    work with select agents and toxins must first undergo a security risk assessment

    performed by the FBI.

    • Receives reports of a theft, loss, or release of a select agent or toxin to understand and

    help reduce risks posed by the situation, ensure proper action is taken and appropriate

    authorities have been notified, and help the entity identify ways to prevent it from

    happening in the future.

    • Takes appropriate enforcement actions for regulatory violations to address the risk and

    increase future compliance with the regulations.

    • Serves as a resource on compliance with the regulations by providing guidance,

    trainings, and outreach to help entities meet the requirements of the regulations.

    • Collaborates with domestic and international partners to assist others with the

    development and implementation of appropriate biosafety and security oversight

    programs.

    The CDC Import Permit Program (IPP) regulates the importation of infectious biological

    materials that could cause disease in humans in order to prevent their introduction and spread into

    the U.S. The program ensures that the importation of these agents is monitored and that facilities

    receiving permits have appropriate biosafety measures in place to work with the imported agents.

    More than 2,000 import permits are issued by the program annually.

    Key regulatory functions and activities of the program include:

    • Issues permits to entities requesting to import these biological materials into the

    country.

    • Conducts inspections to ensure that the applicant has appropriate measures in place in

    order to minimize the accidental release of biological agents capable of causing human

    disease.

    • Provides outreach and training to assist the regulated community in meeting the

    requirements of the import permit regulations.

    · Collaborates with partners, including other federal agencies, to ensure the safe

    handling and use of imported infectious biological agents.

    1. The contractor shall provide programmatic, support services in managing and

    implementation of public health activities that support regulatory science and compliance

    projects and activities. Contractor shall provide analytical, technical, and programmatic

    support services across DRSC. The contractor shall perform various levels of the

    following tasks:

    1. Ensure proper handling of sensitive and confidential situations and keep within senior

    leadership’s purview. Maintain and control departmental documents containing

    confidential information exercising sound judgment in safeguarding data and access to

    data. Responsible for handling sensitive information.

    1. Performs data entry of information found on required DRSC forms. Analyze the quality

    2. y of data and provide/present data for use in draft/final reports and presentations (e.g., use

    provided data to conduct analyses, draw comparisons, discover new applications, and

    make recommendations). Analyze data and compile into Excel spreadsheets, reports, or

    other tracking/reporting formats – MS-Office.

    1. Enter pertinent information (Budget data and funding documents, Credit Card Purchases,

    Purchase Requisitions, Property, Travel, Training, etc.) into various automated tracking

    systems and assists the FATA with reviewing travel orders for compliance with CDC

    policies and Federal Travel Regulations. Maintain and track program-specific data to

    track items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding and expenditure data,

    etc. in databases and shared drive. Track the production of reports and outgoing

    correspondence to ensure suspense dates/times are met, including coordinating the efforts

    of various staff members.

    1. Assist in the coordination and scheduling of special projects (prepare materials, develop

    project planning documents and presentations).

    1. Recommend ways to improve effectiveness of program operations and other functions

    (e.g., ways that would ensure all steps/documents are included in a process provide in the

    monthly reports or monthly meetings)

    1. Participate in other special projects as needed.
