About Teletask
Teletask powers public sector communication. Government and public health agencies use our automated text, voice, and email outreach to reach the families they serve. Our largest footprint is WIC (Women, Infants & Children) nutrition programs, where Teletask messaging drives appointment attendance for over 6 million participants across 35+ US states.
Teletask is at an inflection point, and we are building a commercial engine to match the product. Teletask is looking for it's first trailblazing sales hire to own the GTM function for the team. You will own the revenue motion outright, from first inbound inquiry through RFP, award, and renewal. Expect an entrepreneurial, fully remote environment with high visibility and real autonomy.
What You'll Actually Do
Drive New Business & Product Education
Qualify & Consult: Field inbound inquiries, assessing technical use cases, integration needs, and expected platform volume to ensure a strong mutual fit.
Showcase the Value: Schedule and lead engaging, 30-minute virtual demonstrations (via Zoom) tailored specifically to WIC agencies and public-sector prospects.
Lead Targeted Outreach: Design and execute strategic email messaging campaigns to nurture public sector prospects, generate outbound pipeline, and keep our solution top-of-mind during long government buying cycles.
Structure Deals: Educate prospects on platform capabilities and plan limits, draft accurate initial quotes, and negotiate optional features to align with client goals.
Master the RFP & Contracting Process
Win the Bid: Spearhead Request for Proposal (RFP/RFR) responses. You'll answer technical capability questions, craft compelling proposal narratives, and package the final winning bid.
Close the Deal: Finalize the commercial scope of work and seamlessly route agreements for signature.
Ensure Seamless Deployments & Account Health
Bridge Sales to Success: Gather essential documentation (POs, Letters of Authorization) and immediately create onboarding tickets in Zoho so our Implementation team can hit the ground running.
Partner with Finance: Step in strategically to leverage your strong client relationships if a payment gets stalled.
Drive Renewals & Expansion: Proactively monitor upcoming contract end dates and analyze platform usage data. You'll lead renewal conversations, present updated volume tiers, and secure upsells.
Required Qualifications
2 - 5+ years of B2B sales or account management experience selling to government or enterprise clients
Demonstrated full-cycle ownership. You have carried deals from first touch to signature to renewal without an SDR or sales engineer behind you
Relationship Builder with a track record winning competitive bids, including writing the technical and narrative sections of RFP responses yourself
Strong technical writing and communication skills. You can explain an integration requirement to a procurement and make the commercial cases apparent
Fluency with CRM platforms, e-signature tools, and virtual meetings polished enough to hold a public sector audience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (utilizing pivot tables and vlookups)
Excellent problem-solving skills to navigate the unique challenges and requirements of government contracts
Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements; direct WIC programs exposure is a nice-to-have
Experience running outbound cadences in a sales engagement platform (Zoho Campaigns, Outreach, Apollo, or similar)
Zoho CRM and Zoho books experience is an asset
Familiarity with cooperative purchasing vehicles, sole-source justifications, or state term contracts is a plus
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
Complete onboarding and training on the company's products, services, and target market
Develop proficiency with attention to detail in the renewal and quote process.
Begin building relationships with key stakeholders in Marketing, Product, and Customer Success
Learn the key features, benefits, and use cases of the software platform
Lead at least 5 sales calls or demos with assistance and create quotes for them.
Regularly assess your own understanding and comfort level with core processes and concepts.
Proactively seek out additional learning resources or training opportunities to fill knowledge gaps.
Keep a running list of questions and topics to review with the trainer during available sessions.
Who You'll Work With
You will report to Teletask's executive leadership team and serve as the company's primary voice in the public sector market. A given day might mean an agency demo in the morning, an RFP narrative at noon, and a procurement portal submission with Contract & Billing Operations in the afternoon.
What We Offer
Full ownership of the public sector revenue motion, not a slice of a territory on a larger sales team
An entrepreneurial, fully remote environment with high visibility and autonomy
Exposure to the Solen Software Group portfolio company network and operating model
