    Job Description

    As a part of the Publicis Commerce Exchange Center of Excellence, the Manager - Commerce Media is responsible for strategic and operational digital planning and activation within integrated Shopper Marketing campaigns across key client accounts. This is a blended role that will require skill in client relationship management as well as media strategy and hands-on-keyboard in-platform work.

    In this role, you will lead a team of Analysts within the Search and Programmatic capability team to establish performance metrics, report results and foster client and vendor relationships. You’ll identify optimizations, support the build of client decks, and attend client meetings as the face of our digital media plans.

    Key to success in this role is a strong inner drive to bring your knowledge and hands-on self-serve expertise across Amazon, Walmart and other key retailer’s search and display offerings to a growing team and enjoy working with some of the finest minds in the industry.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with client to understand objectives, KPI, and program background in order to develop creative strategic retail media recommendation for campaigns
    • Direct and manage the daily workflow of all client programs, including initiation and management of projects across departments
    • Create and deliver strategy, status, and recap presentations to clients regarding potential and existing media campaigns
    • Develop tactical commerce media strategies and lead activation and execution across retailer media networks (e.g. Walmart, Instacart) and third-party media partners including sponsored search, programmatic, retailer display, and social commerce.
    • Spearhead the development of search and display strategies and analyses for clients (e.g., keyword recommendation, day-parting, timing/scheduling strategy, benchmarking, value reporting, etc. related to client accounts, campaigns, and strategies.
    • Perform hands-on keyboard, in-platform work within retail media network platforms and campaign automation tools to build, enhance, activate, monitor, and evaluate client campaigns.
    • Oversee Sr Analysts and Analysts to ensure daily search campaign monitoring, optimization, reporting and testing
    • Establish and drive paid shopper marketing best practices to assimilate across tactics and activations
    • Maintain a level of quality assurance and accountability for delivering campaigns and executions with precision
    • Ensure that media deliverables meet and align with client goals and objectives
    • Lead retailer and vendor RFPs, with attention to audience targeting strategy and use of best practices
    • Oversee performance forecasts, budget allocations and providing data-based rationale for these recommendations
    • Understand big picture implications and how insights can be applied in other programs and environments
    • Understand and explain attribution model across retail search partners
    • Partner with internal and client teams on analytics and reporting of campaign performance and key metrics to identify, recommend, and implement changes and improvements
    • Assist in the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
    • Manage budgeting, forecasting, billing, and invoicing
    • Develop and maintain quality control procedures for campaign implementations
    • Understand and effectively communicate our value proposition, technology, and processes as related to the growth of current and prospective agency accounts
    • Adopt established account management standards and program management best practices
    • Participate in regular sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance
    • Contribute to Commerce COE to support capability development across the agency
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years of client-facing digital media experience including 4+ years of SEM, ecommerce, and/or shopper marketing experience
    • Prior experience managing direct report(s) preferred
    • Strong familiarity with the digital environment and a clear understanding of media planning and buying process (multi-channel knowledge and Criteo, Target, Amazon, Walmart, Kroger, etc. search or display experience preferred)
    • Understanding of multichannel optimization best practices and strategies
    • In-platform, hands-on experience using one or more retail media networks (Amazon, Walmart Connect, Instacart, Kroger, Citrus Ad, Criteo, etc.) as well as campaign automation tools (i.e. Pacvue, Skai)
    • Experience with in-store audio, digital screens, shelf, and aisle media across vendors such as Neptune, Stingray, Catalina, GSTV, etc. a plus.
    • Strong understanding of media research tools including strengths/weaknesses, efficiencies, and optimal use cases for each (i.e., Edge, Gradient, PriceSpider, Content Analytics, Stackline, Feedvisor)
    • Highly analytical with solid quantitative and research skills and proven data interpretation capability
    • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Excellent client presence and ability to lead discussions with internal and external leadership
    • Strong ability to understand client objectives and how they translate into search and media strategies
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to articulate strategy and performance to clients and internal teams
    • Keen attention to detail and an analytical approach to achieving objectives
    • Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills
    • Willingness to travel as needed

    Compensation Range: $70,000 - $117,500. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
