    Job Description

    The Sr. Vice President of Business Development drives all net new business development activity for the agency and is responsible for finding and securing revenue from net new client accounts consistent with the annual business plan for PHM. This individual will identify, prioritize and lead all new business pursuits. They will be responsible for initial introduction, investigation, positioning, presentation of each new business opportunity. In partnership with our President and Chief Marketing Officer, they will develop the pitch strategy and approach, and cast the cross-functional team to support each engagement.  They will work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure PHM is competitively positioned within the marketplace. The Sr. Vice President of Business Development leads our go-to-market approach, understanding the competitive landscape, developing our annual targeting strategy and creating our point of view for prospects. This person is a collaborative and inspiring leader that works well in a fast-paced team environment.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    Lead the PHM New Business Center of Excellence:

    • Create and drive the business development strategy for PHM in collaboration with  CMO and President
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities as well as prioritize pursuits
    • Oversee complete RFI and RFP process from initial intake through to final pitch
    • Cultivate and prioritize all inbound and outbound opportunities
    • Work closely with the capability leaders and other senior management to leverage appropriate expertise and knowledge for each pitch or prospect
    • Collaborate with the team to drive the approach, deliverables, schedule and tools to deliver each pitch successfully within established constraints
    • Create and manage the RFI/RFP process including our strategic approach and tactical execution
    • Lead an exceptional pitch process through deep collaboration, guidance and partnership with the pitch team and agency Executives
    • Continuously educate PHM Management Committee and lead internal POVs on the opportunities, changes and demands of the competitive landscape, competitive offerings and differentiators
    • Drive the positioning of PHM in the marketplace through enhancing our story, meeting with prospective clients and sharing our unique perspectives
    • Lead the development of case studies that amplify PHMs successes
    • Ability to represent the full suite of PHM and Publicis Media services, products, tools and offerings
    • Develop and maintain library of pitch collateral.
    • Conduct post-pitch project reviews and compile a repository of business development best practices
    • Partner closely with Publicis Groupe agencies on holding company opportunities
    • Oversee BD Senior Manager, closely collaborate with design and content team

      Prospecting:

    • Target account identification acquisition and management
    • Develop annual prospecting list to target net new foundational accounts
    • Develop and execute individual brand strategies to engage with prospects throughout the year
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 15+ years of related industry experience, preferably consulting, interactive, agency or direct marketing experience
    • Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams in the pitch/BD process
    • Ability to speak to both tactical and strategic decision makers
    • Ability to manage medium to large client engagements independently
    • Superb writing and presentation skills
    • Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to engaging with C-level marketing executives
    • Strong knowledge or experience in marketing and advertising, with particular emphasis on health and wellness categories
    • Prior omni channel media strategy, planning and client leadership experience strongly preferred.
    • College degree or equivalent experience required
