Job Description
The SEO TECHNICAL STRATEGY MANAGER leads technical audit and recommendations for clients. The Manager also partners with the SEO Account Manager to identify prioritized recommendations and communicate the approach to client IT representatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE
Expertise in the technical side of SEO
Can easily communicate technical concepts to client IT and development teams
Continue to learn and apply basic media principles
Knows how the agency works and how jobs flow through the agency
Proficient technical background with a well-rounded technical knowledge set
Strong knowledge of the full scope of SEO beyond the technical level
Beginner knowledge of all media categories (Planning, SEM, Media, Technology, etc.)
Basic project management skills and time management skills
INTERNAL: OPERATIONS, TACTICS AND STRATEGY
Responsible for day-to-day management, execution, and monitoring of client site technical optimization and health
Ability to engage in self-guided goal setting, learning and self-improvement
Leverages technology to create efficiencies on the team
Trains and mentors associates on SEO best practices
Organizes and manages SEO to ensure recommendations/ measurement work are strategically aligned with business goals
Structures recommendation roadmap for campaign success
Keep abreast of new technologies to ensure competitiveness in SEO space
Conduct website audits & prepare technical recommendations based upon findings
Ability to audit complex or large websites for technical SEO best practices
Ability to actively listen considering the needs of the whole team
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
Attends/participates in client meetings and provides timely follow-up to the Account Manager
Day to day technical point of contact for assigned projects
Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing
Solid listening skills and takes notes during meetings, disseminates notes & follow-up as appropriate

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Significant SEO experience, with daily exposure to technical SEO best practices, is required.
· Knowledge of search engine behaviors (crawling, indexing, and ranking), and how those behaviors impact site performance is required.
· Experience utilizing cornerstone SEO Tools (Screaming Frog, SiteBulb, SEMRush, AHREFs, Conductor, SEO Clarity, PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, Chrome Developer Tools) is required.
· Hands on experience with front-end web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is preferred
· Proficiency with programming languages (specifically with C# or Python), JavaScript frameworks, or experience in the pharmaceutical industry a plus.
· SEO, health, or pharmaceutical industry exposure a plus.
