Job Description

The Database Developer is a member of the project team who takes responsibility for database architecture, design, and operations. Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented, result-driven individuals who work well within team environments and have good interpersonal skills, as well as good client interaction skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and administers databases and works with business stakeholders to define conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Implements physical data models and maintains the data dictionary.
• Upgrade and maintain various Application databases to support requirement changes.
• Monitors database operations to ensure properly set configuration options.
• Develops technical requirements and identifies solutions to meet the technical requirements.
• Uses agile and traditional data modeling techniques to elaborate and clarify project requirements.
• Reports on progress, risks, and issues.
• Develops and reviews project documentation.
• Maintains system knowledge base.
• Supports the installation and testing of database services.
• Restores database and application operations under a planned or unplanned service disruption.
• Design and Implement Reports, Dashboards using tools like SSRS, Tableau etc.
• Implements and maintains database builds with different code branches to support various development tracks and works with application developers to ensure availability and optimization of data structures.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident
• Eligible for U.S. Government Clearance (Public Trust).

Experience Guidelines:

• At least 2 years of experience working with database systems.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server database, T-SQL and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) for ETL
• Strong problem identification and analytical skills.
• Ability to contribute to project planning and management as one member of a small, highly skilled, self-directed team.
• Ability to tailor project technical and operations management templates as required.
• Creativity with an eye to developing new and innovative solutions.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with all stakeholders and at all levels of the organization, including senior management.
• Familiarity with security planning and security control implementation as it relates to secure database operations.
• Knowledge of data extraction tools like Python is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required from college or University.

Annual Pay Range : 80,000 - 120,000 USD

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. The actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and the specific skillset required for the work.
