    Job Description

    THE SALESFORCE MARTECH (CROSS CLOUD) ARCHITECT’S PRIMARY ROLE IS to fuse business need with technical strategy, in order to deliver customer engagement solutions built with Salesforce at the center. This role may either lead the technical deployment of Salesforce Marketing technology or be a major contributing partner in larger engagements in which Salesforce is a critical component.

    This role requires an adaptive personality with insatiable curiosity to learn and the prowess to research and solve complex technical challenges.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a general understanding of Salesforce CRM as well as related MarTech and AdTech solutions (i.e. site analytics, CMS, DMP, site tagging, optimization platforms, etc). Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to uncover business requirements, develop a technical strategy and be able to create and effectively demonstrate technical solutions that address customer requirements.

    ARCHITECT MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF SALESFORCE MARKETING CLOUD, INCLUDING:

    • Salesforce Connect 

    • Contact Builder, Subscriber Key and related data modeling

    • Journey Builder

    • Cloud Pages

    • APIs & data exchange methods

    • Ampscript

    THIS ROLE MUST UNDERSTAND THE RULES AROUND WHEN CODE IS REQUIRED, HOWEVER IS NOT REQUIRED TO DEVELOP CODE TO BE SUCCESSFUL.

    The successful candidate must also willing to quickly learn cross-cloud integration patterns to additional technologies in the Salesforce stack, such as Lightning Platform, Commerce Cloud, Audience Studio (DMP), and the newer data and identity products:

    • Salesforce C360 Audiences (CDP)

    • Salesforce C360 Data Manager

    • Salesforce Interaction Studio (formerly Evergage)

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES VARY BY PROJECT AND MAY INCLUDE:

    • Meet with clients to analyze their work practices and understand the nature of their businesses to properly define needs and customize marketing solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

    • Guide and consult with customers on best practices and key decisions 

    • Conducting marketing business process review meetings and lead the evaluation of functional and technical requirements

    • Development, review, and refinement of user stories

    • Developing functional specifications and business systems architecture 

    • Recommend best practices for key Journey Builder/Engagement Studio campaigns

    • Supporting pre-sales as a subject matter expert

    • Serving as primary point of contact to the client’s Product Owner for marketing automation and/or client marketing team

    • Collaborating with project team on work plans, scope negotiation

    • Develop and nurture trusted adviser relationships with clients

    • INFLUENCE AND COACH CUSTOMERS THROUGHOUT THEIR SALESFORCE JOURNEY

     

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4+ Years of Martech design and integration experience, with preference to the Salesforce platform (though similar platform experience such as Adobe will be considered)

    • 2+ Years of exposure to integrations, developing and executing data migrations.

    • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. MBA is a plus

    • 5+ experience consulting with clients with an emphasis on demand generation, personalization, Martech and Adtech solutions. 

    • Pardot, CMS, DMP, Audience Manager are all ideal skills/exposure to have

    • Strong Facilitation and interpersonal Skills

    • Understanding of Agile Best Practices

    • Understanding of Marketing Automation, Data Governance, Security and Compliance best practices

    DESIRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Marketing Cloud and/or Pardot Certifications (Consultant)

    • Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud Certifications a plus
