Are you looking for a flexible opportunity to provide hand, foot, and nail treatments in a spa environment in the greater Milwaukee area? Come join our growing team at HealthFitness as a part-time (up to 25 hours per week) NAIL TECHNICIAN at our health center & spa located in PEWAUKEE, WISCONSIN! You must possess a thorough knowledge of the nails, including basic knowledge of hand and foot massage techniques and a neat application of polish. You must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa’s specific nail service offerings. Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests is a must. You must also hold and maintain a current state license.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide consistent professional nail, hand, and foot treatments in accordance with Spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for each service.
• Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the Spa.
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law as well as the spa’s policies and procedures.
• Perform prep work, properly clean, and restock room as required.
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences that involve guests or staff in the spa that require attention. 
• Actively promote the spa, service, treatments, and retail as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.
• Handle guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously, always provide excellent customer service. 
• Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
• Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa. 
• Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
• Adheres to a high professional standard in dress, grooming, language and lifestyle. 
• Actively builds repeat clientele.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Completion of High School Diploma or GED program required.
• Valid nail technician or cosmetologist license for the State of Wisconsin required.
• A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the field.
• Knowledge of gel nails a plus.

• Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.
• Must be a team player.
