    Position Summary:

    The Brand Writer plays a key role in supporting the Brand Content Team by turning creative direction into compelling concepts and stories. The position is responsible for writing creative content and delivering messaging that elevates the EILEEN FISHER brand across various channels, including both print and digital. This role will foster cross-functional relationships, collaborating closely with the Graphic Design Team in particular to produce exceptional content.

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work with the Writing Team to maintain brand standards and reinforce brand values (sustainability, circularity, design philosophy) through messaging.
    • Interpret creative direction and adapt stakeholder needs from marketing/creative briefs into elevated brand copy across all channels.
    • Contribute to email, wholesale and direct mail pieces, paid social and digital ads, window and in-store signage, web assets, video and other brand initiatives as needed.
    • Collaborate with graphic designers on special projects, creating compelling stories and ideas that live across web and digital channels.
    • Pitch story ideas and contribute to the Journal, partnering with Social Media to develop and execute a content strategy that brings journal pieces to life across various channels.
    • Mentor E-Commerce and Junior copywriters and edit/review product copy.
    • Research current industry landscape and stay-up-to-date on sustainability news.

    Required Experience

    Education:
    Bachelor’s Degree (English, Creative Writing, Marketing or related field preferred)

    Required Skills & Experience:

    Minimum 4 years copywriting experience, preferably at an agency or innovative brand.

    • Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to shift voice/tone to reflect context (print ad/social media ad/in-store signage, EILEEN FISHER Renew assets).
    • Comfortable writing short-form marketing copy as well as long-form prose.
    • Ability to craft strong, engaging copy based on product and brand values.
    • Passion for the EILEEN FISHER brand—and the ability to help push the brand voice forward in strategic ways.
    • Adept at brainstorming, copy concepting and solving communication challenges.
    • Excellent time management skills; comfortable working on multiple copy projects at once.
    • Keen understanding of how graphic design and copy inform one another.
    • Openness to feedback and constructive criticism; ability to incorporate feedback and evolve work accordingly.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of diplomacy; able to collaborate across the Brand Content Team (marketing, writing, graphic design, web, social media, PR) and with other internal clients.
    • Highly organized; able to self-manage workflow to meet deadlines and communicate clearly.
    • Excellent attention to detail; strong proofing skills.
    • Technical aptitude, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, CMS tools, product management tools, technical design specs, and the ability to master specialized collaboration tools.
    • Passionate about sustainability, social wellbeing and positive environmental change.
    • Willingness to contribute to a culture that emphasizes diversity, equity and inclusion.

    The hiring salary range for this role is $85k- 90k/Yr. dependent upon experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer competitive benefits including a generous clothing allowance and a wellness reimbursement program.

  • Qualifications
    • At least 0 -3 years of experience in project engineering.
    • Demonstrate basic proficiency with AutoCAD.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Strong technical skills, and the ability to learn and apply new skills quickly and efficiently.
    • Ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally to accomplish position objectives.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical degree.
    • Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
    • Off-shift, weekend and Holiday work may be required.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
    • Frequently works in adverse conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
    • Operational duties will consist of indoor and outdoor duties, with exposure to normal and extreme weather condition, including but not limited to extreme heat and extreme cold.
