    JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

    The focus of the Account Executive is to create and maintain strong, lasting relationships with our customers statewide in the K-12 education market.  With solid connections from existing and target customers, our Account Executives are tasked with developing and selling projects and services within the broad range of Pueblo's capabilities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
    • Use all internal and external resources to position Pueblo as the industry thought leader.
    • Encourage a team selling environment that utilizes subject matter experts to provide unique and value-driven solutions to our Customers.
    • Operate as the lead point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
    • Develop, present and maintain Account Management plans for assigned customers.
    • Maintain accurate sales activity and sales forecast information in the company CRM and other tools.
    • Present all products and services to existing and future customers.
    • Maintain the highest customer service with external and internal customers.
    • Negotiate terms of agreements and closing of sales.
    • Ensure timely delivery of proposals to customers.
    • Create detailed proposal documents and presentations.
    • Gain a clear understanding of customers' needs and requirements.
    • Maintains a high level of knowledge in the HVAC industry and/or assigned market.
    • Negotiate with customers, solve problems and make sure deadlines are met.
    • Full understanding of market contracts, best practices, and competition.
    • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a customer to securing a deal.
    • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customer's dedication.
    • Remain in frequent contact with the customers in your responsibility to understand their needs
    • Attend internal and external conferences, training, meetings, and industry events.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    No direct reports will be assigned in this position but managing internal relationships, and team building is key.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This job operates in a professional office environment, on our customer's job sites, and remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, tablets, estimating, and CRM systems.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time position, and regular hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; however, this position can regularly require long hours and frequent weekend work.

    TRAVEL

    Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    1. A college degree is preferred, but proven industry experience will be taken into consideration.
    2. At least five years of identified K12 customer/sales market experience, commercial HVAC sales, or account management.
    3. Experience in Cooperative Purchasing selling and/or public procurement.
    4. Experience and understanding of K12 budgets and financials (Bonds, M&O and Overrides).
