POSITION: OUTSIDE CONSTRUCTION SALES CONSULTANT - PUFFIN SALES REPRESENTATIVE
SALARY + COMMISSION BASED COMPENSATION: $10,000.00 to $15,000.00 /month
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visit potential clients home to promote Puffin Builders, develop a relationship with the client, review the proposed work, propose additional work
- Record the client’s preferences and required work
- Develop an estimate and work plan for small job and work with an estimator to develop an estimate for larger projects.
- Maintain relationship with client through the construction phase to ensure their needs are being met
REQUIREMENTS
- All of our Sales positions require extensive local market area travel with the use of a personal vehicle to travel to appointments.
- Must be able to solicit, sell and draft a construction contract.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and carry required level of automobile insurance.
- Must be available to take appointments in the morning, afternoon and evening with a potential customer at their homes.
- Top-notch written and verbal skills.
- Home Improvement Salesperson Registration (H.I.S) or be eligible to obtain the registration.
- Knowledge in home renovations.
- Must be computer proficient.
- Must have the ability to work a 5 day work week. Although rare; additional days may be required based on volume and seasonality, in addition to the flexibility to work afternoon, evening and weekend hours.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must have excellent customer service, listening and influencing skills and have a passion for improving the lives of our customers.
COMPENSATION
- This is a salary plus commission based position
- Ability to make $10,000- $15,000 per month (Our average sales consultant makes over $165,000 per year in salary and commission).
