    National Account Manager – Food Service is responsible of creating and managing strategies, objectives and action steps to develop national and large regional accounts across targeted food service channel segments working closely with the national sales manager, marketing, and senior executive team.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans which include the targeting of national accounts by channel segment and tracking of progress via reports
    • Take the lead in direct calls on national and large regional accounts
    • Develop and manage relationships with account R&D teams and chefs
    • Work with internal team(s) (Culinary, R&D, QA and Marketing) to develop new business opportunities
    • Actively participate in industry trade and consumer shows to advance Pulmuone branded and ingredient sales
    • Support the national sales manager and executive team in developing strategic and operating plans to ensure that the company has the appropriate resources to support current forecasted business and projected growth
    • Direct knowledge and experience with broadline and regional distributors
    • Work within the broker structure in the channel and segment to assist in broker training sessions
    • Monitor current trends and communicate competitive activities in the marketplace
    • Hold regular monthly meetings with internal stakeholders regarding key accounts
    • Investigate and resolve queries and issues raised by national accounts
    • Domestic travel: up to 60%
    • Other duties as assigned

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred, professional certification preferred but not required
    • 5 plus years’ experience specific to the food service business channel with national and large regional account
    • Must have a history of selling national accounts and large regional accounts
    • Must have detailed knowledge of key customers, broadliners and regional distributors
    • Must have work knowledge of new product development process
    • Must be able to direct project leadership of new items
    • Proven ability to build and maintain strong business and collaborative relationships
    • Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced, changing environment
    • Ability to establish credibility across the organization and engage others to ensure business success
    • Ability to lead and motivate team members
    • Ability to plan, assess, and implement change
    • Strong and creative negotiation skills with challenging customers
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
    • Excellent MS Excel Skills
    • CRM software knowledge
