Position Overview:
Mid-Atlantic Packaging, a leading provider of stock and custom-branded packaging to the retail industry, is looking for an organized, detail-oriented purchasing agent to join our growing team. As a purchasing agent, you will be responsible for processing and managing stock and/or custom-branded orders.
Responsibilities:
Review Custom Quotes and convert them to Sales Orders
Review and monitor open Work Orders
Order production supplies as needed
Work closely with the other management, sales team, and art department
Approve and submit invoices to accounting for processing
Maintain out turn samples
Log and track custom orders
Research and adjust for inventory discrepancies
Examine and review products and supplies to ensure quality
Resolve any issues with custom orders
Requirements and Skills:
Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a relevant administrative role
Ability to negotiate prices and terms and conditions
Knowledge of data analysis and purchasing best practices
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Job Type:
On-site, Full-time
Monday to Thursday, 9 AM - 5 PM, and Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM
