    Position Summary

    The Purchasing Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Corporate Purchasing team by analyzing procurement data, maintaining supplier records, and driving cost-saving opportunities. This role focuses on collecting and interpreting purchasing data, leveraging credits and incentives, and providing actionable insights to improve supplier performance and purchasing efficiency. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about process improvement.

    Position Details

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret purchasing data to identify trends, cost drivers, and areas for improvement.
    • Update and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs related to purchasing efficiency, supplier performance, and savings.
    • Partner with procurement, finance, and operations teams to recommend strategies that enhance cost savings and supplier performance.
    • Support sourcing initiatives by providing data-driven insights into supplier performance and market trends.
    • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with suppliers to collect monthly PO line item data for purchasing reports
    • Maintain current and accurate supplier files in Corporate Purchasing systems
    • Create and manage supplier monthly PO data for reporting to the Corporate Director, National Purchasing

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 1–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement analysis, or customer service support.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
    • Proficiency with Excel, ERP, and procurement software (COINS experience preferred).
    • Experience using AI tools to generate or enhance spreadsheet-based data analysis.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills with cross-functional teams.
    • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving capability.
    • Experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries.
    • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
    • Understanding of purchasing practices and systems.
    • Experience working in a continuous improvement environment.

    Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For California this ranges from $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
