    Job Description

    _ About the Purchasing Associate_

    The Purchasing Associate is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the organization of storeroom supplies and rotation of stock. This position will also be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of clinical supplies throughout the year.

    Responsible for all purchasing related to clinical supplies for the organization. These include organ recovery supplies, tissue recovery supplies, and HLA lab supplies.

    Orders clinical supplies using the most efficient ordering method and proper purchasing procedures.

    Ensures adequate quantities of supplies are available to meet departmental needs.

    Ensures that all purchase orders are processed through Kwiktag in an accurate and timely manner.

    Communicates any supply chain issues to Manager of Supply Services and Operations.

    Maintains an accurate inventory of clinical supplies.

    Participates in bi-annual inventory/cycle-counting with the Supply Services and Operations team to ensure accurate levels.

    Utilizes BTM, Excel, or other programs appropriate to record inventory values.

    Responsible for purchasing office supplies.

    In conjunction with the Manager, Supply Services and Operations, analyzes purchasing processes and develops effective purchasing policies and procedures focusing on automation and adequate internal controls.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Minimum Education:

    H.S. Diploma

    Minimum Experience:

    1 year supply chain experience
