    Overview: The Purchasing Manager at SERVPRO oversees all procurement activities supporting mitigation and reconstruction operations. This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing of materials, equipment, and services. The Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in maintaining project profitability—especially for reconstruction jobs—by aligning purchasing strategies with budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers

    Source, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing

    Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize cost savings and support gross profit goals

    Create, review, and track purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of materials

    Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to align purchasing with project scopes and budgets

    Monitor material costs and market trends to proactively manage expenses

    Support gross profit targets on reconstruction jobs through strategic purchasing and cost control

    Resolve vendor issues, including delays, quality concerns, and billing discrepancies

    Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing agreements, and vendor performance

    Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance requirements, and industry standards

    Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

    Assist with inventory management and material forecasting as needed

    Qualifications (optional to include):

    Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (construction or restoration industry preferred)

    Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

    Knowledge of construction materials, estimating, and job costing

    Excellent organizational and communication abilities

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
