    Purchasing and Customer Service Assistant

    We are seeking a self-motivated individual who will align with our mission to focus on excellence in providing service to our internal and external customers.

    Job Summary:

    The Purchasing and Customer Service Assistant will be responsible for liaising between the internal sales and logistic teams and between the company and its suppliers in order to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    answer customer questions by phone, email, webchat, social media or in person

    explain products and policies and give quotations

    take orders and check stock availability

    arrange appointments

    sell products or services and process payments

    handle feedback and complaints

    update customer information on a computer system

    track orders and arrange deliveries or returns

    improve relevant product knowledge by participating in eLearning or Group Coaching Sessions

    follow up on all outstanding, documentation or payments – orders received or delivered

    perform all general related administrative duties as required

    submit purchase orders

    · develop suppliers

    Knowledge/Experience

    1 year working experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment

    At least two years of experience in a purchasing position

    · High school diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree or B.Sc. in Logistics, Purchase and Supply, Business Administration or related fields are typically preferred)

    · In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems
