  • Responsibilities

    The BUSINESS SERVICES LOAN PROCESSOR is responsible for processing all loans including new, renewed and modifications for each commercial loan. This position also handles member account maintenance, promotes the business credit card to members, and assists Loan Officers and other Business Services staff in day-to-day member support needs.

     

    *Employees are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations applicable to this position, including but not limited to all policies and procedures pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

    • Processing Loan Documentation from start to finish with the Loan Officers
    • Handle member account maintenance needs
    • Assists Loan Officers and credit staff in day-to-day member support needs including scanning financials when received
    • Preparing HMDA LAR and other regulatory requirements Monthly/Quarterly
    • Pull reports including Bi-weekly exception report.
    • Prepare and send all correspondence letters for all Rate/Payment Changes, Maturity Letters on Balloon Loans, etc.
    • Construction related items including Draws, paying third party vendors, loan payments, converting construction loan into permanent loan
    • Filing liens according to Uniform Commercial Code (UCC); renew and review UCC filings to insure proper lien position
    • Back-up for pulling Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports (NSF Report, Past due report and Paid Off Loan report)
    • Back-up for loan payoffs requests, paying off loan on system, pulling file, scanning all documents as one package saving for 7 years. Sending all correspondence to members regarding paid off loan and released collateral. Prepare and record all releases.
    • Back-up for Review of 1098 and 1099 tax forms for commercial borrowers
    • Back-up for loan payoffs requests, paying off loan on system, pulling file and scanning all documents as one package into Commercial Closed Loans folder in Nautilus and keeping for 7 years
    • Back-up contact for Commercial Loans done at a Branch including preparing documents for Branch staff and booking loans.

    Required Skills

    • High School diploma or GED Equivalent required

    • 1-2 years of banking, financial services, customer service or professional office operations experience required

    • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel required

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Ability to work well under pressure and regular interruptions

    • High level of member service and interpersonal skills

    • Strong organizational and problem solving skills

    • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts

    • Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
    • This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets
    • This position requires sitting, bending, stooping or standing as necessary
