    Job Summary

    The part-time Coordinator for the Colorado Health Careers Collaborative will assist and support in development and implementation of all activities related to student recruitment, Academy support, and case management with Collaborative programs. The Collaborative’s goal is to create seamless pathways from school to employment in healthcare careers for Coloradans ages 16-19 from underserved communities. The Coordinator is responsible for implementing strategies and materials for recruiting and enrolling students including outreach, follow up, and partner engagement, as well as emailing students, partners, or parents, sending campaign emails to interested applicants, recruitment events and providing application support.

    This position supports the Program Manager in recruitment activities by organizing and attending career fairs or other recruitment events held by partners. The Coordinator maintains a caseload of approximately 50-100 students that are part of the Colorado Health Careers Academy. This position works in collaboration with student affairs departments to provide academic planning, outreach, and retention services to cohort of students, and is responsible for coordinating and conducting focused student support services. Services provided include academic advising, academic progress review (traditional, online, and hybrid), cohort gatherings, creation, and distribution of resource materials, presenting job search strategies and resume writing, and any other activities that support student development, retention, and job placement. This position maintains student records, organizes resource materials, receives students, makes appointments, and handles correspondence and other operational needs.

    This position is grant-funded through August 31, 2024, and contingent upon continued funding. Must be able to travel and participate in events.

    Required Qualifications

    • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • At least one year of customer service, case management or administrative experience.
    • At least one year of working across functional areas in a complex organization.

    Physical & Cognitive Demands

    The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.

    • Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
    • This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
    • The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
    • Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

    Advertised Salary Range

    Salary range for this position is $36,375 to $40,740 at 0.75 FTE/30 hours a week, commensurate with education and experience. AP 3-45 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments. This is a FLSA non-exempt (overtime eligible) position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System due to funding source. This position is grant-funded through August 31, 2024, and contingent upon continued funding.

    A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not require. Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years of experience. Basic PLC/CNC knowledge is a plus. The ability to read to read tape measures and efficiently operate all other required measuring devices is also required. Candidates best suited for this role will have a proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. Basic ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required for safety purposes.
