    Position Title: Lead Teacher

    Position Reports to: General Manager / Franchisee

    Location: San Pedro and Redondo Beach CA

    Compensation Status: Hourly + Bonus + Commission

    Purpose: The purpose of the Pure Barre teacher is to provide safe, effective Pure Barre instruction in accordance with all Pure Barre guidelines and expectations. The Lead Teacher is an exemplary Pure Barre Teacher who ensures that all instructional staff within the studio are abiding by brand standards.

    Lead Teacher Job Qualifications:

    Certified Pure Barre Classic, Pure Reform and Pure Empower

    At least 1-2 years of experience in the teaching Pure Barre

    Deep understanding and alignment with the Pure Barre methods

    Demonstrated proficiency in Club Ready software

    Up to date CPR/AED training

    Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety and alignment

    Pleasant, professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills

    Experience teaching new and veteran clients in all class formats

    Professional and effective communication skills

    In depth understanding of the benefits of Pure Barre and what sets Pure Barre apart from other boutique fitness studios

    Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically in relation to Pure Barre

    Team player with evidence of strong leadership skills

    Passion for learning and willingness to attend continuing education trainings and seminars as offered by Pure Barre Corporate

    Ability to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environment

    Ability to recognize areas of improvement and proactively communicate with management

    Ability to work harmoniously with the public, management and instructors

    Lead Teacher Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Minimum Requirements:

    Attend monthly webinar facilitated by the Pure Barre Corporate Training Team (or watch recording)

    Study and complete monthly resources available via Lead Teacher Pulse folder (under Content)

    Implement actionable take home with studio team

    Effectively communicates messaging and updates from the Corporate Training Team to the studio team

    Teach ~10-12 classes each week

    Regularly teaches Breaking Down the Barre, Breaking Down Reform, Pure Foundations, and corporate-released Intensive Classes

    Assist trainees in successfully completing the test out video process

    Lead quarterly team meetings with all teachers at the studio

    Assist management with studio schedule and ensure class types, times, levels and instructor scheduled are ideal to maximize occupancy and client satisfaction

    Manage sub requests and adjust schedule accordingly

    Ensure that all images posted on social media sites reflect proper form and safety standards and are in alignment with Pure Barre standards

    Stay up to date with and implement Pure Barre educational standards at all times

    Track and review the other instructors for proficiency and performance quarterly according to Pure Barre Corporate test out video rubrics

    Provided needed mentorship to instructors to ensure their teaching is up to Pure Barre’s standards

    Provide Pure Barre instruction to private classes as requested by clients

    Regularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and make recommendations to management about updates

    Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, ankle/wrist weights, platforms, resistance tubing and mats

    Participate in networking/community/client appreciation events as needed and studio promotions to generate new business

    Maintain honesty and integrity

    Any other duties as assigned
